Pray BIG

God always answers prayers.

We pray, with troubled hearts, longing hearts, wishing hearts. Not really having much understanding what we are really praying for, or why we are praying it. But we do. With hopes that the answers we receive are the dreams we have yet to dream. That the outcome will be better than the moment that is currently playing in our lives. We pray small. Sometimes our prayers are soft and quiet, only coming out in whispers deep in our hearts. Others are rushed, loud, reaching... reaching. Sometimes, prayers are just the pain that seeps out of our hearts when we want to pray, but don't know how.

He hears each and every one. Caring, loving, patient. Answering each one in turn, at the right time, which never makes sense to us; but, that's how you know it's Him. We would do things so differently.

Over the past year we have prayed.

"We want to trust You more."

"We want to know You more."

"We want to follow You."

"We want You to change us."

Four weeks ago, He answered our prayers.

We would have to lose our home. The home that we have spent the last 18 months building and pouring our savings into, our time, our labor, our love, in hopes to build a dream.

WHAT??

We reflect. What did we pray?

"We want to trust You more."
         "Then trust Me in this."

"We want to know You more."
         "Come to Me."

"We want to follow You."
         "Here is My path."

"We want You to change us."
         "Let Me."

Our prayers have been answered. He has given us the opportunity to trust Him in this time of fear and unknowing. He has invited us in again to come to Him for our needs, which he always fills, each day. His path is so much easier to see when you choose to trust Him. And my, we are changing.

We are going to trust that His story is the best one to live. Does that mean we will definitely lose our home? or will we keep it? I don't know. But I do know that He loves us more than we'll ever know. His plans for us are bigger than any dream we could ever have for ourselves.

So, I'll keep trusting Him. Knowing Him more is worth more than a dream that could have been better.

Trust seems to belittle Fear.

I don't want to pray small anymore. Pray BIG. An answered prayer is an adventure.
