Trinity

My sweet first born turned 8 today. She is growing much too quickly. I love who she is and who she is becoming, but along with that comes the challenges of also seeing her struggles and challenges she faces as she grows up in this broken world and in a broken body.

She loves to read and enjoys books on facts and science related topics as well as novels and comics. She draws continuously with such detail and simplicity. Her love for Lego grows while she also likes to organize things and create. She does so well in math and piano and loves to ice skate and swim.

She is a perfectionist in most areas and will give up if she fears failure. She wants to be always right and have her way at all times. Yet, with her attitude and fears towards life, she wins my heart over and over. If my heart doesn't soar for her, it breaks for her. Beneath her imperfection, she is perfect in my eyes. Beautiful, strong, and gentle.

Happy birthday, Trinity. I love you.
